This page explains the rules and policies that apply to all users and administrators.

== Account creation ==

New accounts need to be manually approved by specified users as a way to protect the wiki from spam and abuse. Writing a detailed personal biography is not required or expected but it is necessary to write enough to show that you're a real user who is interested in the topic of this wiki. If there is an ongoing campaign of abuse, then account creators can deny requests that are vague. New users are recommended to include enough detail to show that they are legitimate new users and not low effort troublemakers.

User blocking

Users can be banned by administrators if their behavior disrupts or prevents other users from meaningfully contributing to the wiki. Bans of necessary frequency can be issued of on-wiki behavior. Bans for off-wiki behavior require higher level decisions and are extremely rare.

Page specific bans

Administrators can issue page specific editing bans and even bans across entire categories. Any user who edits a page they were banned from will have their edit instantly reverted by a bot. Repeated edits to the same page within a short amount of time will result in short term automatic bans from the same bot.
